22 rebel MP Congress MLAs, who brought down Kamal Nath govt, join BJP

The rebel MLAs met BJP President JP Nadda and BJP chief Jyotiraditya Scindia, at JP Nadda’s residence in New Delhi.

Twenty-two rebel Congress MLAs, whose resignations brought down the Kamal Nath-led Congress authorities in Madhya Pradesh, joined the BJP Saturday. The rebel MLAs met BJP President JP Nadda and BJP chief Jyotiraditya Scindia, at JP Nadda’s residence in New Delhi.

The improvement comes a day after the 15-month-old Congress authorities in Madhya Pradesh fell on Friday when Chief Minister Kamal Nath selected to resign forward of a belief vote ordered by the Supreme Court a day earlier to finish the uncertainty within the state following the resignation of 22 Congress MLAs.

Announcing his resignation at a press convention at his official residence around midday, Kamal Nath accused the Opposition BJP of plotting to deliver down his authorities from the day he took cost in December 2018. He then headed to Raj Bhavan at hand over his resignation to Governor Lalji Tandon at 1.15 pm.
