Parvati Devi, 50, Patna Resident; her twins examine at govt major faculty in Phulwari Sharif.
1. Are your youngsters going to highschool?
My 12-year-old twins examine in Class 4. From February 17, their faculty stopped serving mid-day meals they usually have been refusing to go since. The lecturers can go on strike however the meals should not have stopped.
2. Has it affected you financially?
Bilkul (in fact). My husband is each day wager and earns Rs 8,000 each month. I work as a home assistant and get Rs 4,000. We are a household of six (two sons and two daughters), and can barely make ends meet. The free lunch in school helped me save Rs 70 every single day.
3. Did your youngsters just like the meals served at their faculty?
The meals are best than what we can supply our kids at residence. They serve eggs as soon as every week, soya-bean curry can also be served. My youngsters actually just like meals. At the residence, they usually complain concerning the meals.
4. How have your youngsters been spending time at residence?
They examine provided that my husband or I am at residence, in any other case they play or simply watch TV. I have been insisting that they go to highschool… They go for a day or two, after which cease. They need meals.
5. When will they rejoin?
They will return to high school as soon as the strike is known as off and mid-day meals are served. Also, lecturers should deal with educating, not mid-day meals.
