Agra Fort was included in the World Heritage List in 1982 because of its historical importance.
Mughal Emperor, Akbar made the foundation of the Fort. It was around 1565.
Later, his grandson Shah Jahan further constructed with marble.
The Mughal Dynasty made the Agra Fort their main dwelling till 1638.
It has two famous pavilions. On was for the Mughal queen Nurjahan, Jahangir’s chief queen, and another was for Mumtaz, Shajahan’s Chief queen.
Both the famous pavilions are made of ornamental stone inlay work. It is still a romantic place in the world.
Agra Fort is older than the Taj Mahal. The fort was built from the 16th century onward to the 18th century.
Diwan-i-Khas is one of the must-visit places.
